The agricultural sector, particularly in Majalengka Regency, plays a significant role in the regional economy, with Beneng taro being one of the leading commodities. The low productivity of Beneng taro is caused by the lack of interest and knowledge among farmers in managing their agricultural enterprises. Internal factors, such as limited knowledge and the age of farmers, along with external factors, such as restricted access to information, affect the farmers' ability to optimize their yields. This study employs a quantitative method with survey techniques. The location determination method was purposive, specifically conducted in Majalengka Regency. The research results indicate that: (1) The interest of farmers in cultivating Beneng taro in Majalengka Regency is categorized as high, as observed from the average values of interest level, attention level, and involvement level; (2) The factors influencing farmers' interest in Beneng taro cultivation can be summarized as follows: the age of the respondents is classified as late adulthood, the education level of the respondents is at the high school/equivalent level, the duration of farming experience is relatively low, the land area owned by respondents is quite large, the income obtained by respondents is considered low, the level of cosmopolitanism is occasional, the role of extension officers is very significant, and the role of farmer group leaders is also very significant; (3) The factors influencing farmers' interest in cultivating Beneng taro in Majalengka Regency can be summarized as follows: age, farming experience, land area, income, cosmopolitanism, and the role of agricultural extension officers significantly affect interest, while education level and the role of farmer group leaders do not significantly influence farmers' interest in cultivating Beneng taro.
