Abstract

This study aims to analyze how social constructions regarding male and female roles are formed and implemented in the work structure of MP Store Bangkalan. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Research participants include female employees in administration and finance divisions, male employees in sales and operational divisions, and managerial parties. The findings show that gender social construction operates through work routines, structural habituation, and role expectations considered normal, particularly the allocation of administrative tasks to women and field tasks as well as strategic positions to men. These findings indicate gender bias emerging not as explicit policy but as a product of social construction reproduced through interaction and organizational culture.
