PERSEBARAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN BIOFARMAKA DI KABUPATEN PATI TAHUN 2024 DENGAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFI

Abstract

Biofarmaka crops are one of the strategic agricultural commodities with high economic value due to the increasing demand for herbal medicines and natural health products. Pati Regency is known as one of the biofarmaka-producing regions in Central Java, with variations in production levels among sub-districts. This study aims to analyze and map the spatial distribution of biofarmaka crop production in Pati Regency in 2024 using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The research method used is descriptive spatial analysis with a Research and Development (R&D) approach. Spatial data consist of administrative boundary maps of Pati Regency, while non-spatial data include biofarmaka production statistics obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Pati Regency in 2024. The data were processed using Quantum GIS software to produce thematic maps showing the distribution of biofarmaka production by sub-district. The results indicate that several sub-districts, such as Gembong, Tlogowungu, and Margorejo, have high production levels of major biofarmaka crops such as ginger, turmeric, and kencur, while other areas show relatively lower production. The GIS-based mapping provides clear spatial information that can support regional agricultural planning, identification of potential areas, and sustainable development of biofarmaka commodities in Pati Regency.
