ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS MESIN VMC MORI SEIKI TV-300 MENGGUNAKAN METODE OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS DAN SIX BIG LOSSES (Studi Kasus: PT Sinar Mulia Teknalum)

The VMC Mori Seiki TV-300 3-Axis at PT Sinar Mulia Teknalum is a vital production machine that experienced 1,008 hours of downtime due to a major system upgrade in early 2024. This study evaluates machine effectiveness using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and identifies time losses through Six Big Losses analysis based on data from January–July 2025. Results show an average OEE of 87.89% (comprising Availability 89.78%, Performance 98.65%, and Quality 99.00%), exceeding the 85% world-class standard. However, total production losses reached 12.52%, primarily driven by Setup and Adjustment Losses. Proposed improvements include standardizing setup SOPs, implementing the SMED method, enhancing operator competency, and applying visual management to optimize productivity.
