Perbaikan Kualitas Produk Plastik Roll High Density (HD) Menggunakan Seven Tools dan Kaizen

In the production process of High Density (HD) plastics, defective products in the form of scuffs and wrinkles were found which had an impact on production efficiency and costs, with a total defect of 2,769.3 or 3.13% of total production in June 2025. The methods used to analyze are seven tools and kaizen. This study aims to determine the level of defects of Roll HD plastic products, identify the factors that cause defects, and provide suggestions for improvements to minimize the number of defective products. The results of the study found that there are two types of defects, namely wrinkles and wrinkles with a recorded value of 1509 kg or equivalent to 54.5% and a wrinkle defect with a value of 1260 kg or 45.5%. The fishbone diagram shows that the cause of the defect in the engine factor is due to damage to the heating components. In the human factor, defects occur due to a lack of precision and supervision during production. Environmental factors are caused by dust and hot production room temperatures that affect the psychological of workers.
