Pemanfaatan Perpustakaan LLDIKTI Wilayah X dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Informasi Dosen dan Mahasiswa

This study aims to analyze the utilization of libraries in improving information literacy among lecturers and students within the Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI) Region X. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving librarians, lecturers, and students as research informants. The findings indicate that the library plays a significant role as a provider of academic information resources, a learning facilitator, and a companion in developing information literacy. The utilization of library services has a positive impact on enhancing lecturers’ and students’ abilities to search for, evaluate, and use information critically and responsibly. However, the study also reveals challenges related to limited user participation and insufficient socialization of information literacy programs. Therefore, strengthening the role of libraries through improved services, wider dissemination, and sustainable collaboration is necessary to optimize information literacy development among lecturers and students.
