Abstract

The purpose of this article is to find out the example of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the practice of moderate Islamic education by analyzing the hadiths that explain the attitude of the Prophet Muhammad SAW towards non-Muslims. The approach used is qualitative, with a literature research method (Library Research). The technique used in data collection is the collection of literary data, namely materials that are coherent with the objects of discussion in question. The data in the literature is collected and processed by means of: editing, organizing, and finding research results. The results of the study show that moderate Islamic education taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW has been proven through history and the hadiths of the Prophet which explain the Prophet's attitude of tolerance, as well as being an example for all people. Among them, the Prophet always did good to non-Muslims, respected, helped and protected their rights. The Prophet also played a major role in instilling the values ​​of moderate Islamic education, one of which was the role of the Prophet in the emergence of the Medina Charter and the Hudaibiyah agreement.
