This study aims to describe the application and function of simple machines—levers, inclined planes, and pulleys—in the daily lives of elementary school students. A qualitative descriptive method was employed using observation techniques on objects classified as simple machines found in the students' surroundings. The observations revealed that various tools such as staplers, scissors, bottle openers, clips, and brooms are real examples of levers. Additionally, the use of inclined boards and pulleys was observed as mechanisms that facilitate human work. The study concludes that introducing simple machine concepts through direct observation can enhance students’ understanding and interest in science learning. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing contextual learning media based on students' everyday environments.
